This is the critically acclaimed story of gang violence in Rio de Janerio. Cidade de Deus (City of God) is a poor housing project built in the 60’s, which became one of the most dangerous places in Brazil. Busca-Pé is a young boy who is too scared to become a gangster like his brother but too intelligent to be satisfied with an underpaid job. Through his eyes we witness the humanity which survives in a city condemned to an endless cycle of violence. There are scenes of graphic violence. In Portuguese with English subtitles.
