Set in the 1960’s, 11 yr old David Wiseman loves cricket. He has the outfit but has no ability. His game is so bad his schoolmates make fun of him. Then a Jamaican family moves next door and builds a cricket net in the back garden.
They invite him to play and David is in rapture. However, neighbours start making life difficult for the new arrivals. David must choose between fitting in and the new friends that have transformed his world. An earnest rites of passage drama from the UK.
