In Edwardian England of a 1904, Henslowe Fisk and his father Horatio attend a lecture on reincarnation given by the Swami Nala Prash. There they meet Dean Spanley from the colonies. Henslowe, after coincidental encounters with Spanley, begins a series of dinners with him. There, after several glasses of wine, Dean begins, with clarity, to recount events from a previous life. As these recollections progress they begin to have a personal and profound effect on the father and son. The cold and hard shell of the era finds a warm and cathartic heart in this quirky comedy starring Peter O’Toole.
