Leon Geller, following problems at work resigns his job as an estate agent. He begins two love affairs, one with a gentile who loves him because he is Jewish, and the other with a local Jewish girl. Whilst working for his mother he discovers he was the product of artificial insemination, and that his biological father was a Yorkshire pig farmer. This leads to chaos in Leon’s personal life and a bizarre search for his roots.
