Set in Western Australia in 1931. Molly, Daisy and Grace are snatched from their mothers’ arms and taken a thousand miles away as part of official government policy to train as domestic servants and to integrate them into white society. Lead by Molly, they escape, pursued by the police and a native tracker. Their only hope of reaching home is to find the rabbit-proof fence that bisects the continent. An epic journey across a harsh landscape that will test their ingenuity, determination and will to survive. Based on a true story.
