Oliver Stone’s highly controversial adaptation of a Quentin Tarantino script fell foul of the British film censor, but after some delay has been released uncut. It is a compelling satire on the disturbing way the media create and glamorise the most unlikely of heroes. The film is an assault from start to finish, as deranged mass murderers Woody Harrelson shoot, stab and drown their victims.
